Practical Application Vignettes
Vignette sessions are designed to demonstrate the practical application of the individual metrics for measuring safety in the medication use system. Two vignettes will be presented concurrently during each time slot. Attendees will have the opportunity to select the vignettes they wish to attend.

Workshop Sessions
Five workshops will be conducted concurrently, each one devoted to a discussion of the optimal use of each metric. Each workshop will be conducted twice to allow attendees to participate in workshops on two different types of metrics.

The following specific issues will be addressed for each metric: (1) the practicality of the use of the metric, (2) its fit with other methods, (3) resources required to implement the method, (4) specific steps required to implement the method, and, (5) the use of technology to facilitate use of the method.
