Eric J. MacLaughlin, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS, is Associate Professor and Head of the Adult Medicine Division in the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the School of Pharmacy at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in Amarillo, Texas. He is also a clinical pharmacist with the Department of Family Medicine at TTUHSC School of Medicine in Amarillo.
Dr. MacLaughlin earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, New York, and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He also completed a specialty residency in primary care accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy in Denver. Dr. MacLaughlin is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
Dr. MacLaughlin's practice specialty is family medicine in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinical research interests include the prevention and treatment of bone and joint disorders, such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, and cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and heart failure. He coauthored the ASHP Therapeutic Statement on the Prevention and Treatment of Osteoporosis in Adults, which was published in the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy in 2008. Dr. MacLaughlin's research interests also include topics related to pharmacy education.
In 2006, Dr. MacLaughlin served on The Joint Commission Osteoporosis Technical Advisory Panel. He is an active member of ACCP, and he served as chair of its Ambulatory Care Practice and Research Network in 2007-2008. He also is an active member of ASHP. He has authored many articles on osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, and pharmacy education, and he frequently speaks on those topics at national meetings. Together with colleagues from TTUHSC in Amarillo, Dr. MacLaughlin received the Texans Caring for Texans State Employee Public Service Award in 2006.

Laura Boehnke Michaud, Pharm.D., FASHP, BCOP, is Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where she supervises clinical pharmacists on six services: breast, gynecology, genitourinary, melanoma/sarcoma, investigational cancer therapeutics, and LBJ Hospital. Her practice specialty is breast cancer. She serves as a clinical preceptor for Doctor of Pharmacy students on the clinical oncology rotation and for oncology pharmacy practice residents on the breast medical oncology rotation. In addition, Dr. Michaud holds faculty appointments at The University of Texas in Austin and the University of Houston.
Dr. Michaud earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in Lawrence. She completed a pharmacy practice residency accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, followed by an oncology pharmacy specialty residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Michaud is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a fellow of ASHP.
Research is an integral aspect of Dr. Michaud's work at M. D. Anderson, and her research and publications focus on metastatic breast cancer. She serves on the editorial board for The Oncology Pharmacist newsletter and authors a bi-monthly Pharmacology Consult column in Hem/Onc Today. She participates in many projects related to performance improvement and guideline implementation at M. D. Anderson, including the chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting workgroup, order set process working group, and breast center patient education committee.
Dr. Michaud is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacists (ACCP), American Society of Clinical Oncology, ASHP, and Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association. In 2009, she was appointed to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Antiemesis Panel, and for the previous four years she served on the NCCN Myeloid Growth Factor Panel. She has also served as Content Matter Expert for the ASHP/ACCP Oncology Pharmacy Practice Board Examination Review Course.

Sheryl F. Vondracek, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS, is Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Denver School of Pharmacy in Aurora, Colorado. She teaches in a variety of therapeutic courses and has directed the Comprehensive Patient Care course for third-year Doctor of Pharmacy students since its conception. Dr. Vondracek practices in inpatient internal medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, where she also serves as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and Doctor of Pharmacy students.
Dr. Vondracek earned both her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She completed a postdoctoral specialty residency in adult internal medicine at Purdue University at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. She is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
Osteoporosis is one of Dr. Vondracek's primary clinical and research interests, and she is especially interested in issues related to osteoporosis in men, the elderly, and other special populations. Other interests include chronic pulmonary disorders, geriatrics, and nephrology. She is a member of the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, National Osteoporosis Foundation, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, ACCP, and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
